Herbal Medicine 
Herbal Medicine is a traditional healing system based on plants to treat conditions. Many herbal medicines are now scientifically endorsed to enable effective and safe prescribing.  Marilyn is a college graduate Naturopath with post graduate university qualifications in Herbal Medicine (University of New England – NSW). Her nursing & midwifery background assists in choosing herbal medicines that can be taken with pharmacy medicines, also the ability to assess most health conditions. Customised herbal prescriptions and ointments are individually blended for each client. All ages, aspects of health, diet & lifestyle are considered. 
The Iris Naturopathic Clinic has a large herbal dispensary with a good stock of nutritional medicines, Bach Flower Remedies and homoeopathic medicines. Marilyn will determine which natural medicine suits individual clients.

Weight Management & Wellness Programmes 
Weight Management programmes are determined by Bioimpedance Analysis (VLA), a non-invasive computerised system that assesses cellular health and hydration. VLA calculates proportion of  fat in the body & organs compared to quality muscle mass which determines poor nutrition, obesity or under weight. Early correction of these health inbalances may prevent heart or kidney disease, Type 2 Diabetes, stroke and other medical conditions. VLA also calculates the amount of fluid within the body, both intracellular and extracellular to determine hydration status (dehydration or fluid retention). VLA is a valuable tool for selecting & monitoring effective diets, treatment regimes & natural medicines to preserve muscle mass, especially important for intense exercise regimes and some illnesses. 

Iridology 
Iridology dates back over 2,500 years. Patterns and colours within the iris reflect the underlying state of health, strength and weakness of organs and tissues. This indicates inherited traits, acquired problems and likely outcomes. Iridology cannot detect specific diseases, but determines over or under activity of organs & systems such as a sluggish lymphatic system suggestive of dairy or wheat intolerance. Digital iridology enables a photo record for monitoring progress and observing familial health trends.

Goodskincare by Psoriasis & Skin Clinic
Most skin conditions can not be cured but they can be successfully resolved. For remission of Psoriasis, Eczema, Dermatitis, Acne, Rosacea, Fungal Infections, Psoriatic Arthritis and other skin conditions it is essential to treat both the symptoms and the underlying triggers. Time is spent identifying the triggers that flare up skin conditions.  This may involve in-house allergy testing with droplets of blood or application of patches for contact allergies. Bach Flower Remedies 
Bach Flower Remedies were developed by Dr Edward Bach, a medical specialist, in the 1930s to restore health by correcting imbalances in emotions, personality or psyche that effect energy and physical states. Bach Flowers support in easing inner turmoil, stress, fears & anxiety. Whilst Bach Flower Remedies are gentle they powerfully trigger rebalance. They can be combined with any other medicine, food, liquid or therapy and can be taken by all ages at any time. Children & animals respond well to Bach Remedies.  A consultation with Marilyn enables personalised formulas of Bach Remedies.

Bowen Technique 
Bowtech is the original Bowen Technique developed in Australia. It is gentle yet powerful body work therapeutic for all ages, both genders and most conditions. Subtle moves over specific points trigger a rebalance of the musculoskeletal, nervous & lymphatic systems. Results from Bowenwork are remarkable, quick and long lasting. Emmett Technique 
Emmett Technique is a unique body therapy that eases pain or discomfort, increases movement and improves quality of life. It can be used alone or with other modalities. Emmett Technique works in response to light touch at specific points to trigger the sensory receptors, thereby influencing both musclulo-skeletal and nervous systems. While individual experiences may vary, Emmett often provides instantaneous relief and is extremely relaxing. It is suitable for all people and conditions from babies to the elderly. Hormonal & Natural Fertility Programs
Marilyn no longer offers home births, but still works with mothers, babies and children. Her midwifery background combined with naturopathy and bowen therapy has developed a special expertise and passion for many aspects of pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period (e.g. breastfeeding, baby bowen)

In 2012, Marilyn completed a postgraduate fertility course for improving conception, healthy pregnancy, child birth and the postnatal period. The Program is evidence based by successful Fertility Clinics in America and Australia. Diet, lifestyle, natural medicines, Bowen & Emmett Therapy are used. Both male & female issues are addressed. Don’t under estimate the value of early diagnosis and adjustments to every day routines as these could possibly avoid I.V.F.  Marilyn uses safe protocols for I.V.F. clients to enhance overall outcomes. 

Most hormonal problems (male or female) can be resolved with naturopathy, Bowen or Emmett.
